Flute Day Montabaur, Germany in June 2019

Montabaur

On 25 June 2019 Wil Offermans presented a flute event at the Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz (web.musikgymnasium.de) in the wonderful city of Montabaur in Germany, just north of Frankfurt. From the morning until dinner time Wil Offermans worked with about 30 students. The students, guided by their flute-teachers Wolfgang Wendel and Karoline Schaeferdiek, had prepared intensively during the year many of Offermans compositions, mostly ensemble works but also solo and duo compositions (click the image on the right to see the photo gallery). Later in the evening they together performed a nearly 90 minutes concerts with on the program:

  • Working Song 1 (two students)
  • Working Song 2 (one student)
  • Thumpy Improvisation (Wil Offermans solo)
  • Eternal Winds (all)
  • Yume-Kaze from Made in Japan (one student)
  • Honami (Wil Offermans solo)
  • Jungle Dance (all)
  • Dance with Me (all)

Flöjtmania Summer Course in Örebro, Sweden

From 25 until 30 June 2012 Wil Offermans has been guest teacher at the 20th Flöjtmania (Flutemania) Summer Course in Kåvesta, Örebro, Sweden, next to Torleif Ander (initiator) and Anna Svensdotter. The course has been organized by the University of Örebro in Sweden and was running two parallel levels with Offermans intensively working with the advanced level. The course also included two concerts: a teachers concert on 26 June and a final presentation concert on 29 June.
