Wil Offermans at Flöte!2.0 in Mönchengladbach, Germany

The flute ensemble piece Jungle Dance by Wil Offermans has been on the program of the flute project Flöte!2.0 of this year. This flute event with over 100 participants is a fantastic collaboration between the music schools of Mönchengladbach, Düsseldorf and Moers. Besides many rehearsals it included this year a masterclass day with Wil Offermans on April 27, where he worked extensively on Jungle Dance, as well as circular breathing and Luna y Sierra a.o. Wil Offermans was also present at the first concert on May 1, where he conducted Jungle Dance and played the solo part of Luna y Sierra together with the participants. Here is an overview of the concerts:
- April 27: full day masterclass Wil Offermans with all students at the Musikschule Mönchengladbach
- May 1: concert at Carl-Orff-Saal of the Musikschule Mönchengladbach
- May 3: concert at Clara-Schumann-Musikschule Düsseldorf
- May 12: concert at Carl-Orff-Saal of the Musikschule Mönchengladbach

Flute Day Warendorf, Germany in Oct 2023

Great news is that the first Flute Day with Wil Offermans in the post-covid period could took place. On 28 October 2023 Wil presented his project for the Schule für Musik Warendorf in Warendorf (North Rhine-Westphalia), Germany. The participants where the students of the flute teachers Amelia Deuchert-Kappe, Michaela Heitkamp, Tatjana Konegen, Anja Loddenkemper, Claudia Mertens, Uta Rathmer-Schumacher and Daniel Tillkorn. They worked on For the Younger Flutist, Made in Japan, Thumpy, Luna y Sierra, ethnic flutes story and Jungle Dance. All these pieces where presented in the final concert. Flute Ensemble Day in Biberach, Germany

On 21 October 2017, Wil Offermans presented a Flute Ensemble Day at the Musikschule of Biberach in Germany. During the day, he worked with the flutists on various subjects and pieces, including Eternal Winds and Voices of Nagasaki. Quintessenz and Wil Offermans

The new composition Forbidden Valley (3 flutes; alto; bass flute) by Wil Offermans has been premiered by the flute ensemble Quintessenz at the DGfF Flute Festival 2017 on 11th March at the evening concert in the main hall of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. This spring Forbidden Valley will be published by Musikverlag Zimmermann (for: 3 flutes, alto, bass flute; as well as a low flutes quintet: bass flute, bass flute F, contrabass flute, contrabass flute F and double contrabass flute). Flute Day in Meckenheim (Bonn), Germany

On March 28th and 29th, 2014 Wil Offermans presented a Flute Day for flute students of the music schools of Meckenheim, Meckenheim, Rheinbach, Swisttal (Bonn-area) in Germany. On 28th they started with a workshop for more advanced students (about 35 students). Next day was the Floetentag for about 60 students. After several workshops the day ended with a presentation concert, which included: Luna y Sierra, Kojo-no-Tsuki, Thumpy, Tsuru-no-Sugomori and Jungle Dance. Wil Offermans at the Flute Festival Freiburg, Germany

From March 22nd until 24th the German Flute Festival of the German Flute Association (DGfF) took place at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg presenting an intensive program of wonderful concerts, workshops, competitions, exhibitions and demonstrations. Wil Offermans joined the festival and performed Honami, Tsuru-no-Sugomori and Thumpy, while also presenting a 6-hour workshop around Dance with Me and some of his other works. • Music School Stavanger & Sandnes, Norway
On 29 September 2012 Wil Offermans conducted a Flute Day for the music schools of Stavanger and Sandnes in Norway. The final presentation concert included: Kojo-no-Tsuki, Thumpy, Jungle Dance and Dance with Me. On 19 & 20 October Wil Offermans was invited at the Bruno-Frey-Musikschule in Biberach, Germany. On the 19th he presented a workshop on extended techniques for advanced flute students. On 3 November 2012 Wil Offermans conducted a Flute Ensemble Day for the flute students of the IVAK Creative Centre of Delfzijl, The Netherlands. The event took place at the Nova Vita building in the picturesque nearby Middelstum. The final concert program included: Luna y Sierra, Kojo-no-Tsuki, Jungle Dance, Voices of Nagasaki, Bamburia, and Dance with Me (performed together with young dance students of IVAK).
