Flute Days at Music School Köttmannsdorf, Austria

On February 22nd & 23rd Wil Offermans was a guest at the Music School Köttmannsdorf in Carinthia, Austria, to present his Flute Day project. During the two days they worked intensely with a group of students and flute-teachers from Carinthia and other parts of Austria. The final presentation concert on Sunday 23rd included Offermans' pieces like Luna y Sierra, Bamburia, the Thumpy flute, Kôjô-no-Tsuki, Dance with Me and Tsuru-no-Sugomori. Syrinx Flute Festival, Feldkirch, Austria

During October 1 and 2 the Syrinx Flute Festival took place in Feldkrich, Austria. Main guest was Wil Offermans, who gave a solo recital with spontaneous audience participation on Friday and a series of workshops on Saturday. This second day also ended with a concert, now with all participants performing. The audience was a mixture of both teachers as well as students from the area. Performed were Offermans' pieces including his solo pieces Ilios, Tsuru-no-Sugomori, Honami, Luna y Sierra, Duo, the ensemble piece Jungle Dance, Labyrinth, Working Songs 1 and 2, and the new dance-music piece Dance with Me a.o. Carinthian Flute Ensemble with Wil Offermans, Austria

Ossiach

From April 16 until 18, 2010 Wil Offermans presented a flute ensemble workshop for flute teachers from the southern Austrian region of Carinthia and beyond (click the image on the right to see the photo gallery of the event). The event was organised by CMA Carinthische Musikakademie and took place at the wonderful location at Stift Ossiach. Main focus of the workshop was the ensemble repertoire of Wil Offermans. On April 18th the ensemble, also directed by Offermans, presented a concert including the following works:
