World-premiere "Eternal Winds" • 585 flutists Mega Orchestra

On 9th Nov. 2014 the world premiere of Eternal Winds by Wil Offermans was performed by a mega-orchestra of 585 flutists - a mixture of orchestral flutists, professionals, flute-students, amateurs and children - in a sold-out TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht (Holland) at the Netherlands Flute Academy 5th anniversary concert (directed by Emily Beynon, 1st flutist of the Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam). Offermans conducted the work himself. Other performers in this concert includes: flutist Emily Beynon, soprano Roberta Alexander, all round musician and flutist Thijs van Leer, percussionist Niels van Hoorn and trumpet player Eric Vloeimans. Flute Day in Waspik (Waalwijk), The Netherlands

On October 11th, 2014 Wil Offermans presented a Flute Day for the flute students of the institutes of Aleph Heusden: H19 Oosterhout; Kunstpodium Dongen, Gilze, Rijen; and the Kunstencentrum Waalwijk. With workshops in the morning and rehearsals later on the day, about 30 flute students finished the day with a presentation concert with pieces by Wil Offermans, including: Luna y Sierra, Kojo-no-Tsuki, Thumpy, Made in Japan, Dance with Me and Jungle Dance. Flute Day Veghel, Netherlands

On April 7, 2013 Wil Offermans presented a Flute Day for about 40 flute students of the Harmonie Frisselstein / MIK at the art centre De Compagnie, Veghel, The Netherlands. After several workshops the day ended with a presentation concert, which included: Luna y Sierra, Kojo-no-Tsuki, Thumpy, Jungle Dance and Dance with Me. Flute Day Veenendaal, Netherlands

On February 2, Wil Offermans presented a Flute Day for about 50 flute students from Veenendaal and Rhenen at the Music School De Muzen. Duo Ueda/Offermans concert at Schunk* in Heerlen, Netherlands

On October 26 2011, the Duo Ueda/Offermans performed at Schunk* in Heerlen, Holland in the series of Newsical Experience, with co-organized by November Music in Den Bosch, The Netherlands. The program included: Tsuru-no-Sugomori (Wil Offermans flute solo), Voyage (Junko Ueda for biwa & tape by Tôru Takemitsu) and How to Survive in Paradise II (Junko Ueda voice & Wil Offermans flutes, live-electronics). Flute Festivals in Holland and Norway

Wil Offermans presented his concert and workshop at the Dutch Flute Festival of the Dutch Flute Society (Nederlands Fluit Genootschap) on 13 Februari, 2011 at De Muzerij in Den Bosch, Holland. Also Wil Offermans will be performing and teaching at the first Norwegian Flute Festival organized by the new Norwegian Flute Society on 24-26 June, 2011 in Tonehein, Hamar near Oslo. Other invited flutists include Wissam Boustany and Andras Adorjan, o.a.
